This Is No Flip Duffy

No Flip Duffy isn't a clothing company that decided to make adventure shirts.

The adventures came first.

Brian Duffy grew up in a tough working-class neighborhood in Southern California, a long way from the rivers, mountains, and open skies that would eventually become such a huge part of his life.

The outdoors changed everything.

It started in the dirt. Riding dirt bikes through the Southern California desert gave Brian his first taste of the freedom that comes from leaving the noise behind, getting outside, and finding out just how far you're willing to push yourself.

Then came the water.

Kayaking opened the door to whitewater, and eventually to rafting and guiding. The river became more than recreation. It became a way of life.

Years of running whitewater followed, including guiding on California's American River and countless trips through places like Tunnel Chute.

In a very real way, the outdoors and the river changed the direction of Brian's life. They gave him purpose, community, challenge, and a path he never could have imagined growing up.

But apparently two dimensions weren't enough.

Eventually, the adventure moved into the sky.

Paragliding became cross-country flying. Cross-country flying became competition. Today, Brian races paragliders, chasing thermals, crossing mountains, and competing around the world.

Dirt. River. Sky.

They're more than three categories in a store.

They're chapters of a life.

That's where No Flip Duffy comes from.

The designs here are inspired by places we've actually been and things we actually do — dirt bikes and desert, kayaking and whitewater, the American River and Tunnel Chute, mountains, thermals, paragliding, and the pursuit of whatever adventure comes next.

No Flip Duffy isn't about wearing something that makes you look adventurous.

It's about getting out there and living it.
